You may have thought the Olympics were great for handing out gold and Silver medals, but Northwest runners brought back a stash from the US Champs last week in Wyoming, with two Sammamish runners showing outstanding results:
Dave Enger Gold in M55 and
Leif Anderson Silver in M21,
The premier men's race of the year. Leif was just edged out of the gold by an Australian student studying in the US.

Peter Golde - Gold in M40 Tori Borish - Gold in F20 Ken Lew - Gold in M80 Ariane Goodman - Gold in F18 Holly Kuestner - Silver in F20 Max Maxwell - Silver in M18
Next Regular Sammamish Event
The final event in the SummerWednesday Evening series was Luther Burbank Park on August 13
The next regular Sammamish event is at Lake Sammamish State Park on Sunday, September 28 as part of the Issaquah Salmon Days. This is also Sammamish's National Orienteering Day Event, and they will have a booth for orienteering at the Pickering Barn during Salmon Days.
The next local orienteering events are Canoe orienteering this Sunday at the UW Canoe House and Mergeo's Beast Race at Dash Point on Wednesday, August 27
